Last year's Orsett Show
THE countdown to this year’s Orsett Show has begun.
The main attractions for 2012’s show, on Saturday, September 1, will be a breath-taking display by the Adrenaline Tour Team, from 1.30pm, who will be amazing visitors with stunts on their quad bikes.
Getting in on the action before that at 1pm, will be the Rockwood Dog Display Team.
An interactive circus skills centre looks set to prove popular with youngsters, where they will be able to get up close to a variety of animals, including ferrets.
People will also enjoy show favourites, like the collection of vintage traction engines, classic cars and the birds of prey show.
There will also be a traditional baker show with demonstrations on flour growing, milling, making and kneading the dough, as well as a dog show, fly-fishing demonstrations, and all the usual craft, hobby and horticultural stalls.
Helicopter rides are available again this year, and early-birds who pre-book their flight at least the week before the show can save £5 off the regular price.
The show, which is held at Orsett village’s showground, opens at 9am and there will be lots to see and do all day.
At 12.30pm it’s the horse and hounds shows, with the heavy horse display on at 2pm and steam engine display at 2.45pm.
There will be a second chance to catch the Rockwood Dog Display Team in action at 3.45pm and another chance to see the Adrenaline Tour Team at 4.15pm.
For full details about all of the activities on offer, log on to www.orsettshow.co.uk Serving members of the British Armed Forces can enjoy free entry to the show by presenting a valid HM Forces ID card.

Shocking. There is no free drinking water onsite. You are forced to buy very expensive bottled water.
