Reunion brings back Pzaz memories
7:10am Sunday 15th July 2012 in News
A HUGE reunion event celebrating a former Grays institution is coming to town.
The party, at the Civic Hall in Grays on Saturday, July, 21, celebrates the life of the Pzaz nightclub, which closed its doors for the last time in the 1990s. It will feature some of the venue’s original DJs.
Pzaz was situated in Grays town centre at the site that is now the House of Praise, to the back of the Queensgate Centre.
It has since had a number of different nightlife guises, most recently as Entourage nightclub.
Event promoter Stu Whiffen said: “As a Grays boy my clubbing life started out at Pzaz.
“Every Thursday me and my mates would head down there along with another 1,000 or so clubbers, as Pzaz was the only venue in town, so it was the place to be.
“It seemed like a no brainer to celebrate this Grays institution and the response has blown me away.
“We have run three sold out reunions at the Civic already and they seem to be going from strength to strength.
“There will be over a thousand old Pzaz clubbers coming out to see some familiar faces and dance to all the hits from back in the day.”
Doors open at 8pm – tickets are available in advance from the Thameside Theatre box office on 0845 3005264. They can also be bought on the door on the night.
