VOTER registration forms will be dropping through Thurrock letterboxes soon and readers are urged to fill them out.

While there are no council elections scheduled next year, there will be a poll across England and Wales on November 15 for police and crime commissioners.

Cllr Phil Smith, Thurrock Council’s portfolio holder for legal services, said: “The council has a duty to collect this information every year.

“Chasing up forms that have not been filled in costs the council taxpayer money – money we would rather spend elsewhere.”
