TOWIE star Sam Faiers stopped by the shopping capital of Essex to sign copies of her new autobiography.

The 21-year-old, from Brentwood, met fans armed with copies of Living Life The Essex Way, at Lakeside Shopping Centre’s WH Smith store.

The former glamour model was at the store for just over an hour and signed around 100 copies of her first book, which tells the story of her rise to fame on the ITV2 docusoap, what really goes on behind the scenes of the show, her childhood and the men in her life.

She also reveals her beauty and dating tips.

Talking about the first day of filming the hit show, and what it was like being catapulted to fame, she writes: “We were just supposed to be getting on with our every day lives, but until you are used to having three cameras filming you, it can hardly be expected to feel very natural can it?

“Especially as it was our first time in front of the cameras.

“We’d only had a rough briefing from the producers and we weren’t told how to behave, or even what to expect. So really, we were like hyperactive kids.

“After a stern talking to from the producer, who already had the hump with us, we carried on filming- not that our hysterics were a one off that first day!

“But let’s face it, only a few weeks before I had been working in a local bank, plotting how to improve my glamour modelling career and trying to figure out what to wear to a night out at Sugar Hut that weekend.

“I hadn’t realised that within a couple of months I would be on one of the most discussed TV shows in the UK and written about in newspapers and magazines practically every day.”

Living Life the Essex Way is available for £9.09 on WH Smith’s website, and at other bookshops and online stores.

An autobiography at the age of 21 about her 'rise to fame' with 'beauty and dating tips'........fell off my chair laughing!! Even more worrying, there were 100 muppets who actually bought it and wanted it signed!! What is the world coming to.

These people are here today gone today and they have to try cash in by duping the simple-minded who watch the TV programmes they are on and read with relish the drivel written in magazines and papers.
