It's all Go! Go! Go! for our Holly

A GIRL from Grays is destined for West End stardom.

The Go! Go! Go! Show, a fast paced, pop musical extravaganza for all the family, is to be staged live at the Empire Cinema in Leicester Square.

The show, written by CBBC writer Dean Wilkinson, features five stars, all aged in their twenties, who play themselves.

One of those is Holly Atterton, pictured, who was born and brought up in Thurrock.

The all-singing, all-dancing performer went to Little Thurrock Primary School where her love of performing began.

Holly said: “I have very fond memories of Little Thurrock.

“They were really encouraging of my perfoming. My old teacher Mrs Newton came to see me the other day, which was amazing.

“It was there I really got the love for performing.”

Holly then went to Grays Convent School and Palmers College, where she studied for a BTEC in Performing Arts.

Holly, whose parents still live in Grays, has now moved to London, but has been all over the UK with the show, which started life in the Leicester Square theatre in 2010.

Holly, who plays the bossy, unofficial leader in the gang of pop stars, said: “I found out about the audition in The Stage magazine.

“I was really shocked when I heard I’d got the part, but I had this feeling I was right for the role.”

Holly, who has also been a kids entertainer at a Havens holiday park and starred in various children’s shows, added: “It’s the best thing I’ve ever been involved in and everything I dreamed of.”

The show has toured the country since 2010, but returns to the West End on June 2.
