Flats bid for site

AN application to build 18 new flats in Aveley has been submitted to Thurrock Council.
The application, by Noakes Properties, asks for permission to demolish existing buildings on the land, at Purfleet Road, to make way for 14 two-bedroom, and four one-bedroom flats, along with parking and amenity space.
The main existing building on the site is the vacant Sovereign Discount Spares warehouse, which was once a large detached house that has previously been converted into five one-bedroom flats.
To the back of the property is a block of 12 garages, all of which are let out.
In a statement submitted with the bid, the applicant said: “The properties are currently in a poor state of repair, making them uneconomic to renovate and part of the site has become a scrapheap for old vans and cars.”
The statement said the area is in need of “quality homes”.
It stated: “The development has been designed to afford potential residents with a modern living environment in an area in need of quality homes, built with sustainable materials and fitted with energy efficient appliances.
“There is a demand for high quality rental properties in this area, and our client wishes to improve this site into a development that any young couple or single person unable to afford mortgage deposits would be happy to live in. The proposal benefits the area.”

Translates in to ....there will be lots of high density housing for yet more immigrants. The rent will be paid of course via welfare subsidies like housing benefit.

Aveley is a village and the only things which should go up there are buildings that will help rebuild that village feel not blocks of flats.

Large scale immigration should not be a part of British life. If Labour had been more selective with who they were letting into the UK then we would not be looking to build on every scrap of land available.

The point of this article is about the building of more flats in a part of Thurrock which just doesnt need it, not about the benefits of immigration.

Unneeded immigration is extremely bad for any country. Diversity is good in small doses but I do not think it is fair that whole towns should be altered just to make areas more diverse.

so need lots of more house and schools and hospitl that is the reality that the big picture

large Imgration is now part of British/eglish way of life so be used to it. the real issue is that not enough hoses are being built 3million need to be built to house the homless that have settled here and more need building in foresight so there is enough for demand in the future everyone deserves a house to live in.

Or alternatively, stop trying to make the maximum amount of profit and renovate the existing flats that are already within the house, landscape the grounds and young couples/single people will still be interested in living there.
