  • "People MUST vote to ensure that inept politicians do not repeatedly come back in to power. The turnout was about 20% or less in most of the wards. One ward in Purfleet had 22 voters walk in by mid day. There is no point moaning afterwards or complaining if you do not vote. They make it easy you can do it by post with a freepost envelope. We all know who the dodgy politicians are both locally and nationally, please VOTE to make sure they don't get back in. In my ward the elderly persons, some very infirm turned out to vote as they know the importance and value their votes. I really admire them for this. Make sure you are on the electoral register just phone the council and they will tell you if you are registered and make your voice heard."
