A TEENAGER accused of stealing a brand new car and crashing it into 19 other new vehicles has appeared in court.
Joseph Gray, 19 is alleged to have stolen the Hyundai I30 - worth £15,000 from new - from a sealed compound at the Port of Tilbury docks on September 12 last year.
But he is alleged to have crashed it causing a total of £5,000 damage.
Gray of Elgar Gardens, Tilbury, faced a charge of aggravated vehicle taking and criminal damage.
He did not enter a plea to the charges and was released on unconditional bail. He will next appear at Basildon Crown Court in May for a plea and case management hearing.
