Fire on ship at Tilbury Docks

A FIRE broke out on a grain ship at Tilbury Docks last night.
Seven fire crews were called to the Docks' Grain Terminal at 7.30pm, after reports that a mechanical shovel in the hold of a ship carrying 500 tonnes of grain, had set alight.
Seven fire crews worked alongside the ship's crew to put out the flames before Port workers began to remove the shovel from the ship's hold.
The fire was dealt with by 8.20pm.
It is not yet known what caused the fire.
