POLICE have released this e-fit of a mugger who struck in Tilbury.

A man in his 30s was robbed in Sydney Road, at 11.45am on Thursday, February 2, after being approached by two men on bikes.

The victim was hit on the back of the head while the suspects rifled through his pockets, stealing his iPhone.

Both suspects were black, and the man in this E-fit is believed to be aged between 14 and 16-years-old.

He is around 5ft 9 inches tall, can speak an African language, and had shaving styled cuts to his left eyebrow.

At the time of the attack, he was wearing a plain black jacket, blue jeans and riding a white mountain bike.

The other suspect was wearing a grey or black jacket with a Mackenzie logo on the back written in white, black or grey cargo style trousers, and riding a red mountain bike.

Investigating officer, PC Annabelle Shaker, has urged anyone who recognises the youth to come forward.

She said: "The man pictured was recently seen in the South Ockendon area in March, so we are asking anyone in the Tilbury or South Ockendon area if they recognise this man or the other suspect from the description given.”

Speaking about the victim, she added: "This man has been left very shaken by the whole ordeal, and it is lucky that he didn’t sustain any serious injuries. If you know who the man pictured is, do the right thing and call us.”
