7:00am Sunday 22nd April 2012 in News
A DISABLED pensioner has raised more than half of his £5,000 target after completing six lengths of Southend Pier in an antique wheelchair.
The eight-mile journey took Dominic Cox, who is paralysed, three hours.
Mr Cox, 65, from Grays, was raising money for two new electric wheelchairs for a hotel in Jersey called the Maison Des Landes, set up by the Lions club to provide holidays for the disabled.
