Youth cabinet elects new members

THURROCK’S 22-strong youth cabinet has elected four new members.

Faizal Akindele has been elected chairman, Nathan Lovell vice-chairman, Anne-Marie Ola was picked for the role of Member of Youth Parliament, and James Henderson the deputy youth MP. Faizal, of St Clere’s School, in Stanford-le-Hope, said: “I look forward to having experience of chairing meetings and making new friends.

“The elections were very nerve-wracking, but I am glad I pulled through. I am looking forward to bettering the lives of young people in Thurrock.”
