Briefing for businesses hailed a success

ORSETT Hall played host to more than 150 local businessmen and women for a special breakfast.

The event, organised by Thurrock Council with the Essex Federation of Small Businesses, was a briefing for local businesses about what is happening in the borough.

Council leader John Kent said: “At the Thurrock Business Conference last November the business people attending said they wanted more opportunities to hear from the council about what is happening in the borough.

“This breakfast briefing is the first in a series of such events being delivered with Essex FSB.

“There is no doubt it was a great success, with more than 150 business people attending and 14 exhibitors having stands to promote their work, which has set a high benchmark for future events to reach. Best of all it was held at a venue within the borough.”

The next briefing will be on Tuesday, June 26. To book a place there, visit http:// thurrockbreakfastbriefing 260612.eventbrite.com
