High House's big cash hope

PURFLEET’S High House Production Park could be in line for £1million of funding.

The park, in Vellacott Close, has made a successful stage one application for the cash and has now been invited to make a second bid within the next 18 months.

The money would be used for the production park’s plans to develop more than 40 new affordable artist studios, providing space for artists, workshops and other projects.

Helen Lax, Arts Council England’s regional director for the East, said: “It seems only fitting that High House Production Park has been given the green light to continue with their bold plans for improved facilities.

“High House is fast becoming a hub for arts organisations, not only in the east, but nationally too. The proposed investment shows our commitment to these exciting plans.”
