HIGH House Production Park has helped to inspire the local community, according to Shadow Arts Minister Dan Jarvis.

Mr Jarvis toured the park and Royal Opera House workshop in Purfleet to find out more about the work that has been going on since it opened in 2010.

He said: “We need sites like this. It is a fantastic example of how creative industries and the arts can help to boost the economy in places like Thurrock.

“It is great to see the relationship with the residents, and there is a real sense of community.

“There is a lot of interest in the place and it is a valuable addition to Thurrock.”

What a load of tosh. The site is a liability. Most of the site is empty as hardly any other businesses moved onto the site meaning the council will pick up the bill for the empty buildings and local residents can't use the facilities becasue they are so expensive to hire. Cheaper to hire a church hall than the extortionate prices to use the opera house site.
