A STUDENT from Grays is preparing to take on Mount Kilimanjaro for charity.
Luke Stanton, 22, in his final year at Brunel University, is trying to raise as much money as possible for Childreach, a UK charity which dedicated to improving the lives of children across the world, focusing on health care, access to education, and human rights.
On June 2, Luke will join 39 other students from Brunel on the climb to the “Roof of Africa”, which is the world’s highest freestanding mountain at 19,340 feet.
Luke needs to raise at least £2,500 to take part in the challenge, and is in the process of arranging a charity race night in Grays to boost funds.
