AVID readers will be able to enjoy more than 100 banned books in Grays library this Saturday.
The controversial titles, which have either been banned or challenged in this country or overseas include Judy Blume’s Blubber, Khaled Hosseini’s The Kite Runner and Anthony Burgess A Clockwork Orange.
The campaign, which aims to raise awareness of issues of censorship and freedom of expression has been launched in 50 libraries across the country.
