A MAN is due to stand trial in connection with rape in Chafford Hundred.
The attack happened when a 25-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in a flat off Hedingham Road in December last year. On Wednesday, December 16 Adekunle Adeleye, 40, of Nightingale Court, Chafford Hundred, was arrested and charged with one count of rape.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Basildon Crown Court on Monday, May 24.
