Attempted robbery at Tilbury Post Office

POLICE are appealing for information about an attempted robbery from Tilbury Post Office yesterday.

Three men, all wearing masks and dark clothing, entered the post office on Dock Road at 5.30pm just as it was closing.

They assaulted a male worker but left empty handed after the alarm went off.

The worker,who wished to remain anonymous, said: “It was closing time and we were just putting the shutters down when three guys jumped out.

“They were all wearing masks.

“They pushed me to the floor then one held me while the the other two where shouting at the worker behind the counter to open the door, they were trying to break the glass.

“Luckily he pressed the panic button and they ran off.

“It was scary, I was left with a cut nose.

“We are quite shaken and we did not open today.”

The suspects are believed to be black, one of the men was wearing a t-shirt with a skeleton on.

I would like to have my say about the demolision of St Chads School, I think it is a disgrace that a perfectly good building is being pulled down for probably more houseing ( maybe for more emmigrants like we need more ), our schools, Hospitals ,Doctors all can't cope now, when it could have been used.This building was in good condition, its a waist of rate payers money and someone should be made to answer for it. What do you expect, all the do gooders who have not one iota of common sense. Look at Brixton, that used to be the place to live in, until it was taken over in the name of multiculterism by people of a different race, politically correct ain't I, who then went on destorying the area and brought it down to their level. Look at the Muslims in Southend or where ever they are, drag the area down to their level. As for the schools etc, thurrock Council must receive back handers from some where, because after they have done their stint, they can afford to move off to a different area. Bet it is all white, right. Orsett Hospital same thing, I could go one but some sad creep out there will scream racist, SO WHAT !

Dear Dave, Ask Labour Councillor Carl Morris. The St Chads site is to pay off the balance of the Gateway Academy. When Labour closed St Chads and Jack Lobley the sites were to be sold off to pay for the land the Gateway Academy was built on. This is an outstanding legacy of the last time Labour ran Thurrock Council. And yes it will probably be sold off for housing.

Police cannot arrest the culprits, they will be accused of racism, anyway they are too busy writing out reports on all the car parking infringements. Easier ennit!
