Family rescued from fire in Chadwell

A FAMILY of four were rescued after a fire started in the first floor of their home in Chadwell St Mary.
Two fire crews from Grays and one from Orsett were called to the semi-detached house on River View at 2.55am this morning.
Wearing four sets of breathing apparatus firefighters had tackled the blaze by 3.49am.
The family were left in the care of a crew from Essex Ambulance and a man in his mid forties was taken to Basildon Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
