New jobs to be created at M&S after DC approval of extension plan

THIRTY new jobs could be created at Marks and Spencer at Lakeside Shopping Centre after plans for an extension to the store were approved.

At Monday’s meeting of the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation (TTGDC) committee members approved the plans to increase the floor space of the West Thurrock store.

The proposed development involves an extension to the existing Marks and Spencer of a new floor of 1,910 square metres, the relocation of staff quarters, offices and some stock holding to be moved to the new floor, providing an additional 1,390 square metres of retail space.
