MORE than 300 children from Chadwell and Tilbury had a treat when they abandoned their classrooms for a fun morning.
Primary school children who achieved 100 per cent attendance, or had shown the most improvement, descended on Tilbury Manor Junior School to enjoy bouncy castles and football coaching, and see fire engines. The event, involved children from eight primary schools and was organised by Thurrock Council’s Tilbury and Chadwell Excellence Cluster.
Rebecca Martin, attendance manager, said: “It was a very good day and the kids loved it.
“I’d like to thank everyone who was involved for helping to make it such a success.”
