Health questions can be answered while shopping in Grays

GRAYS Shopping Centre will play host next week to a 'Meet the public' day organised by South West Essex Primary Care Trust.

The event gives residents the opportunity to ask questions about health care in the borough and has been organsied as part of the NHS Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Awareness week which starts tomorrow (Monday).

PALS is a service that has been in existence since 2003. It helps members of the public with concerns and queries about local NHS services. The South West Essex PCT PALS team will be holding two awareness days in Basildon and Grays.

They will be joining forces with Basildon & Thurrock University Hospital Foundation Trust. They will be at Basildon Eastgate Centre (outside Asda supermarket on Tuesday, May 13 from 9am to 1.30pm and at Grays Shopping Centre on Thursday, May 15 from 9am to 1pm.

"If you would like to find out where your nearest GP surgery, pharmacy, dentist, optician, or would just like to know more about your local NHS and the various services we run that are relevant to you or any member of your family please drop by and see us," said a PCT spokesperson.
