THURROCK actor, Arinder Gill, has been busy launching a production company and preparing for his debut at the Cannes Film Festival.
Arinder Singh Gill, 31, who is known as Ari, started Grove Road Entertainment Ltd early this year as a way of producing high quality developed short and feature films.
Ari, of Blackshots Lane, Grays, told of his plans for the coming months including the premier of his latest project The Briefcase' at the Cannes Film Festival.
He said: "The film will first premiere at the Cannes Film Festival - Short Film Corner early next month and then around August and September at the Portobello Film Festival in London.
"I am currently awaiting to hear from more festivals in the upcoming weeks so watch this space."
The Briefcase is set in the heart of East London.
A young college graduate tries hard to please his family and his best friend but just can't cope with a pretentious lifestyle.
One day he accidentally learns about a stolen black briefcase which contains £1.5 million.
Ari attended William Edwards School before studying a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts at Basildon College.
He added: "I am quite surprised, excited and scared about the Cannes Film Festival inviting me to present my tiny no budget film amongst productions which have thousands and millions behind them.
"Not to mention being surrounded by such rich strong and talented personalities from all over the world whom I have grown up to admire both as a fan, actor and now film maker."
