A THURROCK dance school has tasted success at the 2008 British Formation Championships in Blackpool.
A team of four couples from the DC Dance School, who train at Homesteads Village Hall, Stanford-le-Hope, competed against 25 other teams from across Britain to be named runners up in the Under 12s category, beaten only by a Welsh team.
Principal Carly Jennings said: "This is a fantastic achievement and means that we remain the 'English' winning team for the second year running."
The school took five teams to the championships, which ran from March 28 to 30, with their eight couple team placing fifth out of 20, and the under 16 team achieving a recall to the semi-final, the school's highest achievement in the section for nine years.
