Two crews tackle salon outbuilding blaze
Two fire crews from Grays were called to reports of a fire last night.
It happened in Orsett Road, Grays at about 11.20pm.
On arrival firefighters reported that there was a well developed fire in an outbuilding, which was used as a hair salon, and quickly brought it under control.
Firefighters then used positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fans to clear a nearby house of smoke which had become smoke logged during the incident.
The outbuilding has been completely destroyed.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will take place today.
