THE winning ‘Thurrock’s Next Top Boss’ team from Grays Convent High School had a taste of city life by visiting Engie offices in Canary Wharf.
Zainab Mansoor, Alisha Ahmed, Louise Thomson, Maham Siddiqui and Ugne Malisauskaite presented their pitch to Richard Sanz and Lynsey Coombs of Engie.
With the pitch over the girls were told the fabulous news that their idea to have practical construction workshops implemented in all girl secondary schools is going to be rolled out by the firm.
Richard Sanz, Community Impact Officer at ENGIE said; “Working with the group of girls from Grays Convent School in Thurrock’s Next Top Boss was a real eye opener for me, the girls showed a real maturity in their pitch and how they delivered it with so much confidence and professionalism really made them stand out from the other contenders. They really made our job an easy one and tackled the task we gave them with a lot of hard work and determination.
"I’m very sure that all the girls in this group would be a huge addition to our industry in the future.”
