FOOTBALL: Thurrock have successfully defended the Essex Finch Cup after a last minute winner saw off Redbridge.
The talented under-11 district football team, which was made up of 34 local primary schools, were 4-3 winners in an end-to-end final at Romford’s Noak Hill Sports Centre.
A last minute goal from Jamie Lartice ensured the victory for the Thurrock team, which was overseen by Kevin Watts and James Hawkins.
The winning team was made up of Jay Taylor, Joseph Omowanile, Alfie Fitzearle, Aurel Hoxha, Zak Khaluque, Jack Moran, Tise Biyi-Akinsuyi, Kian Cocking, Freddie Smyth, Jamie Lartice and Flynn Warne.
