POLICE have slammed “mindless” vandals who smashed a police car window.
Officers from Grays local policing team took to Twitter to slam whoever smashed the vehicle’s window.
Officers said they had left the vehicle to grab a “quick bite to eat” and returned to find the rear window of the police car smashed.
The car will now be off the streets while it is repaired.
The force stated that the car was used by officers all day, every day, and would be out of action until repairs could be completed.
The tweet, from Grays LPT B2B, said: “Mindless damage caused to a police vehicles.
“Officers were grabbing a quick bite to eat at the time of the incident.
“These vehicles are used 24/7 to protect the public and will now be off the road for repair.”
