Thurrock school closed owing to 'significant flooding'
Ormiston Park Academy will be closed tomorrow owing to what the school has said is "significant flooding."
The secondary school in Aveley will be closed for the day as both the middle and ground floors of the building have been damaged by an excess of water.
The academy put out a message saying: "Closure tomorrow Wednesday 3rd January 2018.
"Significant flooding affecting both middle and ground floors, we are in the process of working with Health and Safety and insurance companies to assess damage and plan for reopening ASAP.
"Please check website and back here tomorrow for further updates."
