A charity was treated to more than 100 presents after employees at a big Thurrock company made a very festive gesture.

Workers at the Port of Tilbury have made a generous donation of 117 gifts to Changing Pathways, just in time for Christmas.

Changing Pathways, formerly known as Basildon Women’s Aid, is a domestic abuse charity working across the areas of Basildon, Brentwood, Castle Point, Rochford and Thurrock.

The charity provides free and confidential services to support people who are currently experiencing or have previously experienced domestic abuse.

The port has supported the local Thurrock centre for many years.

Paul Dale, Asset and Site Director at the Port of Tilbury, said: “The team at the port have once again demonstrated their generosity to Changing Pathways and we hope that the donations will provide some festive cheer.”
