A relaxed performance of Christmas panto Beauty and the Beast, designed for people with learning difficulties, is taking place soon.
On Monday, December 18, at 6.30pm at Thameside Theatre, the pantomime, which stars former X Factor contestant Stevi Ritchie, will have a relaxed performance which everybody can attend.
There will be a relaxed attitude to noise, lights and movement during the show, making this suitable for families, children and people with an autism spectrum condition, sensory and communication disorders, or a learning disability. It may also benefit those with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Councillor James Halden, responsible for Thameside Theatre, said: “This year’s panto is set to be a fantastic event for the whole family. We committed to make sure those who would benefit from a more relaxed performance can still enjoy a panto performance.
“Please get in touch with the team at the theatre if you would like more information.”
