A person has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the M25 this afternoon.
The crash involved a lorry and a car and took place at junction 27 on the anticlockwise carriageway at about 3.30pm.
It caused three lanes of four to be closed while emergency services dealt with the scene.
Essex Police and ambulance were on site and it is understood one patient was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
Motorists experienced delays of more than an hour but the crash itself was cleared by 5pm.
