Tributes have been paid to a man who died after suffering serious knife injuries in South Ockendon.

The family of Daniel Adger who died after a knife attack in Eden Green on Monday, August 21, have issued the following tribute.

They said: “Danny was far from perfect but he did not deserve to die the way he did.

"He was a lovely, happy go lucky and caring son, brother, father, cousin and grandson.

“Danny had the most infectious laugh, was funny and had the biggest heart. He would help and support anyone.

“Danny was a genuine person and would have given the shirt off his back to help others.

"However, Danny stood alone and would never be in the crowd but would always have other people’s backs.

“Danny and his sister Kezia are now together. We will never stop thinking of them or stop loving them. They will both be missed.”

Daniel Adger, 34, from South Ockendon, was attacked at around 1pm on Monday, August 21. He was taken to hospital but sadly died upon arrival.
