Detectives investigating the murder of a 34-year-old man in South Ockendon have made a further arrest.
A woman, 21, was arrested on suspicion of murder in Snaresbrook, London, on Thursday August 31. She remains in custody.
The victim, Daniel Adger, 34, from South Ockendon, was taken to hospital but sadly died.
Police were called to Eden Green, South Ockendon on Monday August 21 following reports that a man had suffered serious injuries.
In total, six people have now been arrested in connection with the death of Daniel Adger
Lee Dowman, 50, from Grays, was arrested in the early hours of Friday, August 25, and has appeared in Chelmsford Magistrates' Court charged with murder.
Two other people who were arrested on the same day as Dowman - a 41-year-old man from Tilbury and a 31-year-old woman from South Ockendon - have been released under investigation.
Two more men, one aged 30 and one aged 32, were then arrested at addresses in London and Kent on August 28 and have also been released under investigation.
