It’s exciting times for Thurrock CVS – the voice of Thurrock’s community and voluntary organisations – as, today; they unveiled a new logo and website that celebrates the rich diversity of Thurrock’s voluntary and community sector.

The logo, which was designed in house at no cost, depicts a series of different coloured “pages” representing the wide variety of projects supported by or in partnership with Thurrock CVS.

Kristina Jackson, Chief Executive of Thurrock CVS, said: “Our bold new logo represents a clean, fresh and contemporary feel that better represents the innovative culture of the community and voluntary sector here in Thurrock.”

At the same time as unveiling, the new logo the Thurrock CVS website has been totally rebuilt to ensure it is totally interactive and meets the needs of the community and voluntary sector in Thurrock.

Designed with the help of funding from the Transformation Foundation the website is fresh, lively and has a series of tools that will maximise the ability for local groups and organisations to fund raise.

Kristina explained: “The new website can host funding appeals from local groups and take donations on line. In addition to that it uses clever analytics to ensure the appeal reaches those who are most likely to make a donation thereby vastly increasing the chances of success.”

The first to take advantage of this are Grays Athletic Football Club - who are fund raising to extend their youth section – and the Thurrock CVS funding arm, Giving for Thurrock (GiFT).

David Barnes, from Grays Athletic, said: “We are delighted to take advantage of this powerful new tool.

"The Thurrock CVS website is a fantastic way for us to reach a new pool of support and to raise much needed cash so we can involve more youngsters in the club and I thank Thurrock CVS for creating it and encourage other local groups to take advantage of it.”

The website address is www.thurrockcvs.org and any local organisations wanting to take advantage should contact Terry Piccolo - terry.piccolo@thurrockcvs.org
