A SOUTH Ockendon man will be sentenced for a string of offences, including theft and assault, which he carried out on the same day.
Jason Patmore, 41, of Alwen Grove, denied three charges, however a jury at Basildon Magistrates’ Court found him guilty in his absence.
The court heard that he stole food, alcohol and toys, worth £836, belonging to Tesco in Thurrock on December 9 last year.
He was also found guilty of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour towards Radoslaw Kmiec, Amit Sarmotta, Darren O’Brien, Michal Gwozdziewicz and Edward Fenner with the intent to cause fear of violence on the same day.
The court heard that he assaulted Michal Gwozdziewicz, also on December 9.
Patmore further admitted stealing various items of meat, totalling £214, belonging to Lidl.
The theft occurred on November 16 last year.
The case was sent to Basildon Crown Court for sentence on June 5.
He was remanded in custody until then.
