THURROCK Libraries are celebrating a nationwide learning event.

The ‘Festival of Learning’ runs between Monday June 19 and Thursday June 22, led by Learning and Work Institute, it invites organisations and communities to take part in adult learning activities to showcase the wide range of opportunities and resources available to adults hoping to continue or resume their education.

Free ‘Click and Go’ sessions for adults run by Thurrock libraries and offer the opportunity for residents to discover how to get the most out of their iPads or tablets.

Residents can explore social media, apps, security and settings as well as e-books, e-magazines, e-newspapers, e-courses and languages.

The events in Thurrock will be taking place on:

Monday June 19 at Tilbury Library, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm Tuesday June 20 at Grays Library, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm Wednesday June 21 at South Ockendon Centre from 10am to 1pm Wednesday June 21 at Corringham Library from 2pm to 4pm Thursday June 22 at Chadwell Information Centre from 10am to 1pm.
