Gold worth thousands of pounds stolen and cash stolen in raid
Police are appealing for information following a burglary in Purfleet which saw gold worth thousands of pounds stolen.
The rear door of an address in Water Lane was forced open at some time between 4pm and 9.45pm on Friday, April 21.
Asian gold worth a five-figure sum, and of great sentimental value, and a four-figure sum of cash were taken.
Anyone with any information about the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or has been offered any items of Asian gold is asked to contact Pc Jack Trower or Dc Nicola Hadfield at Grays CID on 101.
