A GANG of rogue puppy dealers have been given a suspended sentence after being charged with fraud by false representation.

Teresa Wade, 58, of Ship Lane, Aveley, Tony Hammond, 36, of Brunswick Court, Upminster, Roxanne Montgomery, 34, of Grafton Road, Dagenham and Victoria Montgomery, 56, of Melford Avenue, Barking were sentenced at Basildon Crown Court today.

The crooks bred and sold sick and dying puppies advertising them as home bred and healthy.

The RSPCA raided Teresa Wade’s property in Ship Lane, Aveley following complaints from people who had bought the puppies.

Judge David Owen-Jones passed the judgement on the crooks.

Teresa Wade received a 21 month prison sentence suspended for two years with a curfew between 8pm and 7am.

Victoria Montgomery was given a 14 month prison sentence suspended for two years with a curfew between the hours of 8pm and 7am.

Roxanne Montgomery was given a 9 month prison sentence suspended for two years and 120 hours of unpaid work.

Tony Hammond, received a nine month prison sentence that was suspected for two years and was also ordered to undertake 120 hours of unpaid work.

A case of animal cruelty is set to be brought against the puppy dealers.
