TILBURY has always had some great buildings and areas.
Here with special access to pictures dating back to the 1800s, thanks to volunteers at the Thurrock Museum, the Thurrock Gazette looks back in time.
The pictures show the Tilbury Hotel in all its glory until it was destroyed in 1944 when it was hit by incendiary bombs.
There are also other landmarks and great memories.
