THURROCK Courts Players are bringing their adult pantomime to a Grays theatre.
The Only Way is Dick has been written and directed by Thurrock celebrity Luke Coldham, who played Smee in this year’s box office smash of Peter Pan.
Based on the original fairytale of Dick Whittington, the show includes parts of the famous family-friendly pantomime, but is full of adult humour.
The show will be performed at the Thameside Theatre, Orsett Road, Grays, from Thursday, February 9 until Saturday, February 11, at 7.45pm each night.
Luke said: “I have been performing in panto for over 10 years now, and have always wanted to write my own.
“So I thought why not create an adult-only panto where I can incorporate all the jokes and filth you couldn’t use in a normal panto?
“The cast are outstanding, the sets, and costumes are fabulous, and, of course, panto wouldn’t be panto without using every magical pyrotechnic and special effect there is.”
The theatre company has been running since 1954.
Tickets are £12 per person and can be purchased via the box office by calling 07475 634474.
