A FORMER Grays college student has began a career with a TV broadcaster.

Holly Moore, 18, of Fairview Avenue, Stanford-le-Hope studied English Literature, Law and Psychology at Palmer's College, Chadwell Road, Grays.

She competed against more than 500 other applicants to win a place on the prestigious Trailblazer apprentice scheme and will spend the next six years training to become a qualified solicitor.

Holly, was one of just 40 candidates selected for an assessment day and then she came through an interview process with the top eight applicants.

She used to attend William Edwards School, Stifford Clays Road, Grays and will now spend four days a week at ITV and one day studying at City University of London in partnership with CILEx Law School.

The six years are spent in different departments of the broadcaster - with a six-month property law placement at the Slaughter and May legal firm and a six-month litigation placement at the Arnold and Porter LLP legal firm during the fifth year.

Holly said: “I am very excited to be offered this opportunity with ITV, as I have the opportunity to obtain a law degree and become a fully qualified solicitor whilst gaining six years work experience!”
