STAFF, parents and their families took part in a special community day.
The event took place at Lansdowne Primary Academy, in Lansdowne Road, Tilbury.
The day was held to clear weeds, old plants, logs and generally to tidy up the grounds. The rain didn’t dampen the high spirits or the can-do attitude of all the volunteers.
Monique Anderson, school principal, said: “They all did a great job.
“The planters were completely cleared out and 24 potatoes were discovered.”
