Characters - Year four children at school
CHILDREN at an academy got into the spirit of Roald Dahl Day.
September is the birth month of author Roald Dahl, and children at Tilbury Pioneer Academy, Dickens Avenue, Tilbury, dressed as their favourite characters from his books.
This year marked 100 years since the author’s birth.
Catherine Bignell, deputy head at the school, said: “The pupils had a fantastic afternoon reading and exploring some wonderful books and they looked fabulous in their outfits.”
