Councillor Sue Little rolled up her sleeves with the Thurrock Youth Cabinet to wash cars for the Amy Winehouse Foundation recently.
Twelve youngsters working towards their National Citizen Service award from Team 3 (Thurrock area) chipped in at the Whitmore Hall charity event in Orsett.
Their goal is to work towards a fundraising goal of £1,000 for the Foundation by the end of August.
Mrs Little said: “It was a great day and they are a great set of kids - full of fun and oh so willing to please on their way to getting their national citizen service award.”
