DRIVERS are being warned the Dartford Bridge will be closed this Saturday night.
The QEII Bridge will be closed overnight this Saturday night July 30 while vital routine maintenance work is carried out.
The closures will be in place to allow planned maintenance work including resurfacing, carriageway sweeping, litter clearance, electrical work and gantry works.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place for southbound traffic via the east Dartford Tunnel, which has a height limit of 5 metres.
The work will be carried out overnight, when traffic flows are lowest, to minimise disruption. The closures will be in place between 10pm and 6am on Saturday night.
Traffic will be stopped briefly while the contraflow is setup and removed.
Drivers should expect some minor delays at the start and end of the work while the traffic management is put into place.
Highways England provides live traffic information via its website (www.highways.gov.uk/traffic-information), local and national radio travel bulletins, electronic road signs and mobile platforms, such as Android and iPhone apps.
