A WOMAN had to be cut free from her car after it left the A13 and landed on its roof.
Two crews from Basildon and one from Corringham attended the incident on the London bound carriageway between Basildon and Stanford-le-Hope at 12.40pm.
The vehicle was discovered upside down by crews down an embankment.
One set of cutting equipment was used to free her by 1.15pm.
The casualty received first aid and oxygen therapy from firefighters.
The East of England Ambulance Service sent two rapid resonse vehicles and an ambulance to the scene.
They treated a woman, believed to be in her 40s, who had neck and back pain.
She was taken to Basildon Hospital for further treatment.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or serious.
