A MAN was seriosuly injured after an coming off his motorbike this morning. 

The accident, involving a motorbike and lorry on London Road at the junction of Weston Avenue, left the road closed in both directions. 

An ambulance spokesman said: "We got the call at 6.14am today to reports of an road traffic colission where someone had come off their motorcycle on Weston Avenue.

"We sent two ambulance officers, an ambulance crew, hazardous area response team, and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

"At the scene, a man was treated for serious pelvic injuries before being airlifted to the Royal London Hospital in a serious condition."

The roads were later reopened.
