Tilbury Pioneer teachers and parents have been collecting bottles for a new eco-greenhouse made up of 1,500 bottles at the school.
The new project will be made up of over a thousand two litre drink bottles brought together by the Tilbury Pioneer Academy PTA.
A company working on the St Chad’s site, Wilmott Dixon, stepped in at the last minute with wood, nails and hinges to help get the structure built.
Dan George, Head of School at Pioneer, said: “Without the tireless support of the families of our community, along with our PTA, this project would not have been realised. I cannot wait to see it all come together!”
The staff at Pioneer hope to have the greenhouse build under way for people to view at their summer Fayre on July 9.
